They started off great but then slowly went down hill Brendan Fraser did not seem himself like he didn't want to be there. Should have used Freddie Boath as son more believable than Luke Ford who looked to be as old as his parents. And without Rachel Weisz it just wasnt the same Maria Bello was terrible completely changed who evelyn was. I hope there is a mummy 4 they bring back the originals.

Action packed to say the least. A CGI explosion, great detail. awkward dilouge. wildly adventurous and bold. a very one sided forgettable story. throw away cast. Jet li, why? his talents werent used. Frasier was aloof. bizarre randomness and ill logic. A big costume and makeup display. Its your typical over the top action. extravaganza. cheesy battle scene, cheesy chase scene, cheesy tie in romance. Youve seen this type of thing before in most of this summers blockbusters. This film was completely missing suspense and horror, instead coming off as very playful and pretty. Features one of the most amazing and unbelievable CG Dragons ever, despite only remaing on screen for a few seconds. Perhaps this is a little more of what Indiana Jones should have been, but with a much better script and acting. A quick fantasy adventure story for the kiddies and tweens to enjoy but nothing worth dwelling on. Watch it once then just place it on the shelf or sell it. Mums the word.

This sequel should have stayed buried. The first two Mummy movies were far from action masterpieces, but when you compare them to this crappy film, they seem like Oscar contenders. The movie lacks the central chemistry that made the first two films fun and charming and without the director Stephen Sommers or Rachel Weisz playing Evie, what the point of making another movie? Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh are completely wasted in their roles. The action sequences are warmed over leftovers from The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean. Luke Ford was a bad choice to pick for the 21-year-old son, Alex. I found him quite annoying to watch. I think the worst mistake of all they made was recasting the leading female. If for some reason the actress/actor who carried the role in the first two movies can't or won't come back for a third....GET RID OF THAT CHARACTER!!! Death, divorce or whatever and introduce a new one or something. Brendan Fraser, meanwhile phones in a performance so awful that it's hard to believe his character was likable in the first two films.

Good movie. I liked it a little better than the second one but still okay. like someone else said, the dialogue was sometimes pretty cheesy and bad. But the action was still cool and kept you enteratined but nothing special.

I knew I was expecting too much from the very beginning. In many ways it was doomed from the start, Stephen Somers wasn't directing, Rachel Weisz was out, and Arnold Vosloo wasn't the mummy - hell they weren't even going to be in Egypt any more....

In many ways it was doomed from the start, Stephen Somers wasn't directing, Rachel Weisz was out, and Arnold Vosloo wasn't the mummy - hell they weren't even going to be in Egypt any more. Seems like the general rule of things is that when the third movie is directed by someone else, it's never as good. I call it the "Ratner Effect".
It just didn't come close to the other Mummy movies, it didn't have the same charm, the action sequences were pedestrian and the dialogue was some of the worst I've ever heard. Just plain disappointing all round. Two stars.

When people make sequels after a couple of years, like the latest Indiana Jones, or The Godfather Part III, it´s usualy just a couple of friends going back together to have a good time, which usualy resolves in a pretty good movie. This was probably not the idea with this movie. Rachel Weisz (Who was actualy very good in the first movie) is replaced by a totaly different person, the character is totaly changed. We still have Brendan Frasier and (to some, unfortunatly) John Hanna, who doesn´t have as many over the top jokes in this movie. Other than that, no-one is still left. Stephen Sommers doesn´t direct, or even write the movie, he was the whole thing, wasn´t he? Rob Coen doesn´t at all have the same love for the movie. It seems a so very rushed, every scene is over faster than it started, especialy near the end.
I can´t say The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor (Why so long name?) is a good movie, hell it´s not even that entertaining. It just seems like a pretty bad exuse to get some money.
