SuperHero Movie is funny and yeah it is created by the people of scary Movie so it is kinda dumb. But funny.

I expected it to be a movie with like a variety of people, but only one? too common, especially winning a girl's love.

I love some of the physical jokes though, really nice.

The creators of "Scary Movie" and "The Naked Gun" set their sights on the comic book genre in the latest big screen parody "Superhero Movie". After being bitten by a genetically enhanced super dragonfly, high school student Rick Riker (Drake Bell) develops superhuman abilities and learns that with great power comes great responsibility. Rick becomes the masked crime fighter Dragonfly and battles the life-draining villain Hourglass (Christopher McDonald) who seeks to become immortal by killing thousands of people. "Superhero Movie" is a decent spoof of the blockbuster "Spider-Man" franchise and other comic book movies like "Batman Begins", "Fantastic Four" and "X-Men". The 2008 comedy delivers a good dose of sight gags and gross-out humor. The cast also includes Sara Paxton, Kevin Hart, Brent Spiner, Jeffrey Tambor, Marion Ross, Tracy Morgan and Leslie Nielsen. "Superhero Movie" is a fair improvement over such recent lame parodies like "Date Movie", "Epic Movie" and "Meet the Spartans".

Superhero Movie is the first parody in a few years that hasn't left me really pissed off that I just wasted half an hour of my life. After Meet the Spartans I though the genre was dead but Superhero Movie was mildly enjoyable and in some bizzare parallel universe this film can be considered mildly enjoyable. I really don't want to write a full review for this because it's not really worth it, but I am recommending Superhero Movie because it's not that bad and it's only an hour and ten minutes.

When a comedy film that only has a funny joke on the Scarface Society, saving a woman then she ends up in a cement mixer, and a funny Spider-Manesque introduction, then you are staring at a comedy film that has humor sadly at the bottom of barrel. Superhero Movie really suffers from the same problems that it's prodecessors: Epic Movie and Meet The Spartans, which was really not having enough humor with true wit and heart to truly make is stand on it's own feet.

Superhero movie does have a few clever jokes, and the way how they spoof popular Marvel franchises such as Spider-Man, is done with the greatest timing of the gags and writing, but the problems the jokes in Superhero seem to be lost for any real fundamental reason for why the humor is there, that way, the feeling for laughter becomes almost non-exsistent.

Superhero Movie is defintetely a cut above tha wful Meet The Spartans, but the guys who come up with these movies really need to find some substance for the humor in their movies, and they need it, quick.

A surprisingly funny superhero parody. If you go into it without expecting much, with the expectation that it will be stupid, you will wind up enjoying the film. Like all paraodies, it is a hit and miss affair, but thankfully there are not too many misses, though the whole sequence ripping off the X-Men series is a definite miss.

The film is largely focussed around the original Spiderman. Go and watch this film. Remember it. Otherwise lots of the humour and parody of this film will be lost on you, as what this film does best is recreate many of the scenes from Spiderman, and parody them.

As to the acting, while none of them will win any awards, it is clear that they all had a good time filming their parts, and most of them have great comic timing. Spoof extraordinaire Leslie Nielsen adds depth to the film.

Is it stupid? Yes. But it also had me laughing in stitches.
