27 Dresses stars Ketherine Heigl, who gives new meaning to the term always a bridesmaid never a bride. Heigl plays Jane, a depressed creepy woman who has been a bridesmaid 27 TIMES!!!!! If that doesn't alert the loony bin I don't know what will. Her selfish jerk sister, played by Malin Akerman, comes into town and starts dating George, played by Edward Burns. Now, the movie would like you to believe that Jane is in love with George and that it's really romantic, but Jane is a creepy stalker who keeps wedding reports from the newspapers. As I was watching this, I was thinking 'No wonder she isn't married, she's a weird cat lady who has no life'. C'mon guys, at least don't try to sell her as a romantic soul destined for love. Now of this plot couldn't get any stupider, Heigl now must plan the wedding of her sister to the man she loves. And then James Marsden comes out of nowhere. After what I just wrote I can't believe I'm recommending this film. I'm well aware of the problems with 27 Dresses as I'm aware of that every single character is a freakin' jerk, but I can still find a little tiny space in my heart to recommend this. I can tell I'm practically apologizing for this positive review, but...what the heck, if you're gonna' have a gals day out go see it.

A goofy and endearing movie that didnt drag though memory after memory with the dresses. It was funny, serious when it needed to be and thoughtful. The cast did great and wouldnt mind seeing ths movie again.

A romantic, chic comedy that even males can enjoy? "NEVER!", I hear you say. Well 27 Dresses succeeds where others have failed.

Jane has been a bridesmaid twenty-seven times, and still keeps all the dresses. She loves the "commitments" section of the New York Journal and has a secret yearning for her boss, George. Her younger sister Tess arrives and instantly hits it off with George, so much so that George asks her to marry him. Jane is heartbroken. Enter Kevin, the "commitments" journalist Jane adores. Can he teach Jane the value of being able to say "no" before more people walk all over her?

It all sounds very cliched. But 27 Dresses is so full of twists and turns in the plot that it's easy to forget that it's quite cheesy in some places. Just when you think you know what'll happen next, the plot suddenly turns on its head and goes in another direction. Sadly, all of this back and forth can make the movie feel quite dragged out. I was itching to leave well before the end.

The film's only other downfall is that in some places, the characters don't really fit with the plot. George is made out to be a fantastic guy who can do no wrong, who instantly falls in love with Tess, the gorgeous blonde who is obviously fake right from the get-go. It seems as though the film were written twice, once by the character designers and once by the plot writers and somewhere along the line the two stories were merged, leaving everybody a little confused.

Overall, a decent movie with strong performances from the entire cast and none of the smut and sexual innuendos that most people have come to associate with recent romantic-comedies. Definitely worth a look.

I really liked this movie.. It's a really nice movie to watch and relax a bit. The Story was sweet and the actors were really good so two thumbs up for this movie

27 dresses was a very enjoyable movie, but, it was still to very predictable. You know she doesn't get the boss and you know that she gets the writer. It was still engaging with its ups and downs but still very predictable and in some parts boring
