Fun mindless entertainment. You don't have to think, just watch the movie and enjoy the friendly banter, the special effects (some better than others). It's reminiscent of Indiana Jones, The Librarian, Jewel of the Nile, etc...

Not bad. Seems to fall victim to the "everything has to be blue or green" school of cinematography, though to be fair, I didn't see it with 3-D glasses. I loved the original novel, and the first movie was good too. This movie may not be quite as good as the first, but it should be an okay way to introduce your kids to the story. The theme of too much risk-taking in science is still relevant today. Jules Verne was one of the best early science fiction authors, and a trip to the library might be in order too after you see this film.

Everybody should know what this movie is about. I went and seen it in 3-D it had a lot of great secens. I thought was a good movie and I like Brendan Fraser. He made the film funny and it was really entertaining.

I don't think I'll go through what the movie is all about as it is in the Summary of this Site. I think this movie would have been awesome to see in 3D, but seeing that there are no theaters in South Africa that offer this, I had to watch the normal version.

Even so the movie was actually quite good. Once the action started, it didn't stop until the very end. The Story was interesting in that it is based on a book, but doesn't follow the book exactly. Interesting movie. Worth watching if you've seen all the other movies.

First, I need to say that this movie is better in 3D. I mean, without the 3D, the movie is just has some decent acting, somewhat cheesy special effects and a decent story line that drags. The 3D makes this movie better.

The 3D was at times a bit disapointing, too. I was expecting some 'in your face' pop outs, like what we get at Disney World but, there isn't. If you're looking for some good brainless fun, this is the movie for you. If you're looking for the next Mummy movie, no, this isn't for you.

  The picture works because Brevig and his actors -- not to mention his effects -- maintain a sense of humor and lightness. It doesn't hurt that Fraser, a fine actor who's made a name for himself not with his serious performances (which are reliably solid) but for his recurring role in the "Mummy" series.
