Finally, a scary movie that actually scares me!

A couple goes to (Scott Speedman's) childhood home in a house in the country with no civilisation around after a wedding reception. They are later attacked by a family of masked phsyco-paths.

After watching hundreds of scary movies, this one is actually the scariest, to me, this movie is even scarier then the Exorcist! There was something about the masks that creeped out and the intensity really made this movie uneasy to watch. If you like to see a good scary movie, I'd recommend this movie to you!

This is an eerie movie based on true events. Well according to the makers of the movie that is. The true events are a series of robberies that occured in the director's home town. It involved a stranger knocking on a person's door to see if someone was there then robbing the house. The other aspect of this movie that was real was the semi copying of the charles manson murders. Anyone familar with that story will see some of the similarities to this one. This is the story of a couple who is away in a secluded cabin. It was supposed to be a romantic evening but after a failed marriage proposal it turns into a morbid one. Then the couple realizes they are not alone. The strangers end up torturing the couple in many ways until the end. The use various techniques to scare the hell out of the couple. Breaking things making noises jumping in and out of the frame is what the director uses to create tension. The actual ads for this movie shows that this is a scary movie. When you actually watch the movie its not very scary. The tension tends to make it more that what it is. The acting here is average at best and there is not much gore or violence. There is a decent scream at the end of the movie but overall this is a pretty decent movie. I really think this is a winter movie so to release this movie now could be a mistake. Especially releasing it against sex in the city and one week after indiana jones is not good. Its worth a viewing if anything on dvd.

I went in to see the Strangers after waiting almost a year for this movie and hype it up to me and my friends and once i left that movie it was beyond my hype.The Strangers was an intense Terror movie not so much horror but intense terror and gave me goosebumps throughout the entire film There wasnt that much talking in the film which made it work to it's advantage because loud music to quiet terror made you almost wanna turn your eyes away cause you couldnt stand that feeling in your stomach when you saw the killers and not to mention a theatre full of screaming people added the affects to the film The movie had aot of mystery around it about why there were doing what they were doing to the people but i think that it makes the movie even better with the I don't know why type of realism,That its what this movie feels like to me reall like it could happen to you and that's why I think this is the scariest movie that i have seen it theatres and def the best sheer terror movie of all time.
