I must say i have nothing bad to say about this film. It has a solid script great actors. And they do not and i must stress this do not bore you with the on going story line they come and they go. They probably knew many other films like this has come and gone and would be best to be short and sweet! With it being under th two hour mark is great, i have spent my days watching corrupt cops and they tad bit for the three hour mark and thats not a great thing.
This film is about a man who is on a mission to bring down the force who had bin using him. It all comes together well. I loved the ending and i loved the action!
You can not go wrong with a gem like this ;}

I enjoyed watching the movie but it wasn't anything special. The middle drags a bit. Good action in the beginning and ending. You probably won't guess the side story-lines but will already know the end...

I enjoyed watching the movie but it wasn't anything special. The middle drags a bit. Good action in the beginning and ending. You probably won't guess the side story-lines but will already know the end to the main story-line within 15 minutes. Trust me - you've seen this one - its called Depar-Trainin-L.A.Confidentaville.

Street Kings basically reassures everyone that every damn cop you see is a corrupt bastard. That may not be true but that's what the movie wants you to beleive. Street King stars Keanu Reeves in a pretty good performance as Detetive Tom Ludlow, who bends rules so they serve him in a good light. Forrest Whitalker, a very good performance, plays Capitain Jack Wander who only helps Ludlow do this. I'm not exagerating, every cop in this movie is corrupt. After Ludlow's ex-partner dies, he is the first suspect. He destroys the evidence but still wants to catch the real killers. All of his colleagues advise him against doing so and tell him to let it go. Before he knows it, Internal Affairs, headed by Capitain Biggs, played by Hugh Laurie of House, is crawling around him. Now Ludlow must look out for himself as every cop is after him. The first hour or so of Street Kings was very good and the rest doesn't really live up to it but it's still worth your time. The film features fine performances from Keanu Reeves, Hugh Laurie, and the best of all from Forrest Whitalker.
A film with this kind of ambition can never be perfect and Street Kings certainly isn't but it's still a good and satisfying picture. The ending was really stupid, mostly because nothing changes and no character sees that what they are doing really is bad, so what was the point of the film. They all remain the same and just look out for themselves. Ofcourse it does over exxagerate on the subject of corruption, and it gets pretty annoying after a while, but the rest is really intruiging and well worth your time.
