This sequel has to be the best Batman movie by far. Christian Bale's recurring role as the caped crusader is both ingenious and oddly mystifying. Cale's interpretation of the three roles: Bruce Wayne, Gotham's playboy; Bruce Wayne, the sweet boy; and Batman, the vigilante- is absolutely phenomenal. The rough voice may have been the butt of many jokes and parodies seen on YouTube, but many people accepted the raspy, gravelly intonation as part of the Batman's persona. But, who is Batman without his arch rival, the Joker? Heath Ledger takes the crazy clown and adds an ever darker, demented twist to the already psychotic villain. This re-telling of the Batman's rise to protector of Gotham is movie for all people, both devoted followers and newcomers.

Batman was never my favorita comic book character, and I honestly thought this movie was way too overrated. But, this all changed when I saw it, as a result I was awestruck. Nearly a masterpiece, the Dark Knight delivers good compensation for your money, Heath Ledger (rest in peace) was the star of the show, it was a Joker performance unlike any other. No more childish villains, the Dark Knight follows Batman Begins's dark and serious tone, depicting the Joker as a psychopathic, cynical and sinister mastermind, exactly what he is meant to be. Ledger easily overshadowed Christian Bale's performance (though Bale was not half bad), earning him the posthumous Oscar for best supporting actor. User majority compliments it, critics acclaim it, well then it cannot be a bad movie can it?
