this is a pretty good movie that has a nice story to tell and tells it well acting in this movie is really good and the setting is good to my overall rating is 4 stars.

The Bank Job is the best heist movie I've seen since Ocean's 11. Well this one is inspired by a true story, and is a lot of fun to watch and it's quite suspenseful. Jason Statham proves he actually has talent in the best performance of his not so good career, I'm referring to crap like The Transporter when I say not so good career. He stars as Terry, a used car dealership owner. One day, an old flame of Terry's comes to visit him and offers him a proposition. A bank won't have alarms for a week... Well Terry can't resist and hires his buddies to help him. The uber story of the film isn't exactly them getting into the vault, but it's dealing with what they find in there, royal members in brothels, corrupt policeman, and intimidatingly violent porn kings. After being discovered they are on the run and try to figure out what to do with this information. There is also sort of a back story which feels more like the main one, about a pimp who has information about the royal family in the vault. The film is one of the second tier must sees of 2008.

The Bank Job is based on a true story about a bank robbery. It´s a pretty intresting and different choice of story, there are allmost no bank robbery movies being made anymore. But i think Clement and La Frenais did a good job with the script, keeping us intrested throughout the movie. Though some part are a little clishé at times. The directing isn´t very good, it´s confusing at times in the beginning of the movie and it seems that every time a woman is on the screen the camera points at her breasts. The acting is good from some of the cast members while some are not so good, i thought Stratham (as allways) wasn´t realy convincing as the lead character. Overall The Bank Job is certanly not a bad movie, it´s a good movie filled with suspence and plot twists. I recomend this to anyone who has a couple of hours over to spend.

But with 30 years of the same story it has gotten stale and old.

But i really did not care because it had Jason in it and that is all the reason why i go and watch it. Every movie he is in its an instant must watch.
But still on this movie review topic. If your just looking for a good old simple heist with greed and power with a little twist in the end this is the place to go and watch it.
But not in the theaters wait till its out on dvd then go and rent it.
This is not a own or a must see. But a night on the couch kinda film to see!

Not bad. I wouldn't break your budget to watch this film but overall it has talented actors and a half decent plot.

An old flame of Terry's shows up and offers him a proposition, a bank won't have any alarms for a week, lets get stinkin' rich. What Statham doesn't know is that she has a secret adgenda of her own. Her boyfriend wants pictures from a safety deposit box taken by a pimp and killer. What the robbers find in the vault is to much for them to handle and they are drawn into a world of corruption, Royal members in brothels, corrupt policemen. A truly stylish film that is one hell of an entertainment.
