this movie is kinda like an exaduration of my love life. But I really emjoyed this film. People may not agree with me but hey, I liked it. It was a cute movie with an ok plot and some quite good acting. But other than that it was just funny and cute.

a romantic comedy that has a slight twist. Tom realizes he's fallen in love with his best friend Hannah, who's gone to Scotland, and tries to show is feelings when she returns, only to find that she picked up a fiancee, a Scottish Duke named Colin, who turns out to be the perfect guy. to make things worse for Tom, Hannah has asked him to be her maid of honor, breaking the traditional female-only role, where hilarity ensues. the movie climaxes with a slightly predictable ending. it does have some scenes which don't make sense at all, but its still an enjoyable movie thats worth its money.

Another romantic comedy has arrived in theaters with the same cheesiness as all of them and a predictable ending, but to great surprise, I had a pretty good time at Made of Honor. Tom, played by Patrick Dempsey, and Hannah, played by Michelle Monoghan, are so obviously perfect for each other but are just best friends, well of course or there wouldn't be a movie. When Hannah goes to Scotland for six weeks, Tom realizes that he loves her and plans to tell her that when she gets back, but to his disappointment, she brings back Colin, a royal Scotsman. Not only are they in love, they're getting married. Just as Tom thought he couldn't get pissed of anymore, Hannah asks the poor guy to be her maid of honor. A woman with half a brain would understand that no man would want that, but then again, we wouldn't have a movie. He accepts, only because he's planning to destroy the wedding and "steal the bride". The ending is predictable, as with all romantic comedies of this sort, but it's still a decently enjoyable hour and a half.

Much to my surprise I really enjoyed this film. I'd like to get the major criticism out of the way first; it's predictable. Of course it is. It's a romantic comedy. Show me a highly original romantic comedy. But if you go into it knowing that then...

Much to my surprise I really enjoyed this film. I'd like to get the major criticism out of the way first; it's predictable. Of course it is. It's a romantic comedy. Show me a highly original romantic comedy. But if you go into it knowing that then I think you'll really enjoy it. I did and I'm not even a fan of the genre. It's fun, it's enjoyable, it doesn't require deep thought and it's good for a laugh. The cast was great too, particualarly Patrick Dempsy. My one real complaint would be the British stereotypes. Is that how the rest of the world really views Scotland?

Predominately a silly romantic comedy, with not as many laughs as one may suspect from the film's premise, which ultimately lets this film down. There are many humouress options to take with the idea, but the film really fails to capitalise on them. It's also not helped when you are able to work out exactly what will happen at the end after only five minutes. It's laughable how predictable this film is. But despite all of these grievances, I did enjoy the film, and Patrick Dempsey is believable as the playboy who finally discovers he's in love with his best friend. Personally I thought Michelle Monaghan looked a bit out of place. The most enjoyable scenes are those with Dempsey and his basketball friends. A light romantic comedy, and nothing more.
