Well Shutter was not the least bit scary as I expected it to be, I have honestly seen scarier things on Lifetime but scare factor aside it does have a lot of things working for it; the plot was good â€"though I figured most of it out during the first twenty minutes, the effects were good and it was entertaining, I especially liked the closing scene with Megumi lying on his back. It is a nice movie but there is not a lot of suspense and it does not scream thriller (and I an easily scared).

One thing that annoyed me a little was the huge emphasis they put on the cameras at the start of the movie, I realize it's one of the main points but it was really hammered home that this is what the movie is all about.

Although it is yet another remake of an Asian film, Shutter hits the mark in all the right spots. This movie is not only genuinely scary, but well-crafted and a visual feast. The characters are all very believable and will draw you into the story...

Although it is yet another remake of an Asian film, Shutter hits the mark in all the right spots. This movie is not only genuinely scary, but well-crafted and a visual feast. The characters are all very believable and will draw you into the story almost right away. Shutter is also one of those rare horror movies that leaves no loose ends (sorry, no sequel here, but that's not necessarily a bad thing). The movie is slightly predictable (I figured out what was going on way before the girl in the movie did), but I thought the suspense was great and didn't feel like this detracted from the film too much. If you're a horror fan, and especially if you liked other Asian-themed horror movies like The Ring and The Grudge, put this on your list, because it's a must-see.
