This movie is great. It's sarcastic and hilarious. This introduced me to Ellen Page as a great leading ladie. It's awesome.

For starters the cast if made of some of my favorite actors and actresses, and it’s cool to see that Jason Bateman it’s making a comeback somehow successfully, and to boot, I have been a fan of Ellen Page ever since I saw her on “Hard Candy�…. Because of her acting skills, nothing more (yes, that should be a nice cover up).

The movie it’s a great blend with comedy, drama and of course the mandatory sentimental moments, something clearly different for a year full of cinema violence and cynical humor, J.K. Simmons showed us that not only can act, he can actually talk with a normal speed and an normal voice…

The problem I had this movie, it’s the morale, so in the end Juno found out that she was actually in love with her best friend, so it wasn’t just pity sex what lead her to this whole situation, and when you find one that loves you just like you are, you should never let go that person…. That’s a cool morale, but I think I’m one of the few that actually remembers one thing:

She’s a minor who got pregnant and gave away her baby, and in the end both her and her boyfriend go back to their previous lifetime (but as a couple) without ANY regret or consequence of what just happened, or any moral that they actually learned something form said experience..

Of course an Abortion themed movie wouldn’t have sold that good, or been on my movie list either, but the aforementioned detail makes this movie a guilty pleasure, if you just take the moral out… Curse you Diablo Cody!!! (Nah, I’m just kidding, you’re a cool writer).

Just my two cents….

Like everyone else, I agree that it was a great movie, with great characters, and lots of witty and great writing. But what stands out for me were the tender moments, moments like Juno and her father or the scenes where Michael Cera and Jennifer Garner felt the baby's kick. At the center of each of those scenes is Ellen Page, as Juno, in a truly wonderful performance.

Why is Juno perfect? It does everything perfectly within the genre that it falls in. That genre's hard to define, because its a movie about teenagers becoming adults whilst learning to adopt a more traditional vernacular, but its also a very serious movie with serious themes riding its veins. Oh, and expect to laugh.

So I define the film as a teen dramedy. As a teen dramedy it succeeds at everything it sets out to do. It wants you to laugh, so you will laugh. It wants you to care for its characters, and so you will. You'll probably even cry with them, who knows. Oh, and I bet you that if you do all the above then you probably dig the soundtrack too. What's left? Nothing really, when you think about it. In its own little world, Juno is perfect, and those who disagree are just anomalies within it.

Well I already know that I will be getting a few disagreements when I write this review. This is another in a long line of pretentious films who try to be cute and funny and really are not. I think past of the problem with this movie is that it comes with a lot of hype attached to it. Yes this is a cute movie about a young lady who is pregnant and the family she wants to adopt her child. Bateman and garner are good as the couple especially bateman. He plays the cool guy who in the end does not live up to his coolness. Garner plays his uptight wife who loves things a certain way. I think the major star of the movie obviously is page and in watching this movie I can see why she did not win. In watching her character I feel as if I have seen her character before. I know it won an academy award for writing but it seems like her character is a mish mash of different screen characters with hardly any originality. The "funny" scenes are few and far between with the actor playing juno's "bf" being played as if he is almost retarded. Juno's parents find out their 16 yr old daughter is pregnant and almost do not miss a beat. They accept it and are like ok whatever. I can see why this movie got a lot of hype and I can see why people will go to see it but I really do not think this is a very good movie. Its very unoriginal as are the "quirky" characters also.

If I had to find one word to describe this movie, it would have to be 'quirky' but quirky in a good way. I thought the acting was great, the script was relatively original and the music was weird but fun. I really enjoyed it.
