I totally didn't like this movie. People can disagree with me all they want but I found the story line a little boring. It failed to entertain me as much as I had hoped Pixar would do.

There were some funny parts in the movie. I must admit that I did enjoy a lot of the Outerspace stuff. But all and all it really didn't make me leave the theatre totally satisfied.

As far as Pixar's "Newest Biggest Movie" goes, it really isn't that impressive. By now, I know what to expect from Pixar. An unexpected development happens in a main character's life, they have a dream that they want to do something other than what they're doing, they make an unexpected friend or friends, they need to avoid an awful fate being imposed by a sinister figure, they go through a tough challenge before they finally succeed, and finally, John Ratzenberger always has to add his voice in to a Pixar movie. In other words, they're just re-using the same plot principles over and over again, the only thing they change are superficial appearances such as characters, locations, and the types of challenges that are in the movie. Not that its a bad formula by any means, but after 8 previous movies, its a formula that's gotten old. Speaking of old, the graphics look like they've come off a manufacturing line of a Sega CD system. The graphics are nothing revolutionary and there aren't any tricks or stunts that haven't been seen already in one form or another. And the characters personalities are almost non-existant. They're robots, they're designed to do their duty. Even if they decide to change their duty, they stay on that duty until the task is completed. So why is this movie rated four stars? Despite a slow start, the movie finally gets to the meat of the plot about half-way into the movie and it serves a very good message to the people of today. Society is moving towards a future where humans are a bunch of horrid, fat slobs, becoming over-dependent on devices and diversions to keep us distracted from doing our duties to keep our planet healthy. In this future, most people don't even know how to Think for themselves and have little to no muscles at all. They don't even notice space, or even see what they've become. And the ship's robot is all for keeping things as status quo. In typical sci-fi fashion, the ship's robot mutinies the humans, proving once again that it is simply impossible to trust robots with human free-will. The only way to avoid this future is to do what the Captain did, and that is to take some Actual action and think for once about what's happening, and do something to change it! Devices can be helpful, but ultimately, we as humans are responsible for our own destiny. We need to take responsibility in realizing that all actions have consequences good or bad. So only by taking good actions can good consequences be attained. A special treat is the end credits and the progression of art throughout the ages from the stone age to 1980's pixel art. So I suggest seeing this movie on a budget. There are better ways to kill an afternoon, but this experience is still pretty decent. :idea: Enough said! ;)

One of the best movies so far this year happens to practically have no dialog and is animated, that movie is the beautifully made Wall-E. After last year's disappointing Ratatouille, which I believe was tremendously overrated, Wall-E whips Pixar back into shape. The story has the same basic overall theme as every cartoon, but unlike Kung Fu Panda, this is creative and unlike any animated feature, or live action movie, you've ever seen. This is a prime example of how animation can sometimes be much stronger and say a lot more than a live action film. The story is set 700 years in the future. Earth is now literally a dump and is too toxic to support human life. Humans are now living in a giant spaceship out in the middle of the universe. Back on Earth, Wall-E is like the Will Smith of robots, being the only one on Earth. He is a tiny little recycling bot who has developed emotions and wants over seven centuries. His only friend is a cockroach. Wall-E carries around a lunchbox which he puts knickknacks in such as a rubix cube and carries them back to his cozy little shelter which he has made into a home. One day a feminine robot name EVE arrives and startles the tiny bot. He falls inlove with her and starts to follow her around. After he gives her a plant she stores it inside herself and deactivates. When a spaceship retrieves her Wall-E clings on and is taken into space. There he discovers true love and what he is truly meant for. Yeah, it's a cartoon. The animation here is just gorgeous along with a great scene of Wall-E and EVE dancing in space which is absolutely amazing and beautiful. The romance in this film is so real unlike crap like What Happens in Vegas with real people, but the characters in this film are real people. This has a strong chance of winning for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars this year and it's well deserved. The movie is also a serious message about what we're doing to the planet that I think has a bigger voice than any documentary Al Gore could make. Wall-E is probably just about the most lovable character of any animated or live action film that I think can one day become the mascot of Pixar. This amazing movie will surely join the list of Disney Classics and will influence filmmakers in the many years to come.

this movie is so good...the animation alone is amazing pixar did great job again...a must see for this summer
