The trailer did make the movie look very good but a bought the DVD which I did regret. Ben Stiller plays Eddie who is single then finds a woman who he loves then she is some sort of crazy woman. Eddie then finds another girl who is better and more normal. I am not going to go on more but it is worth a miss. If you want a really good Ben Stiller movie just watch Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers.

Two stars flatters this poor excuse for a comedy. It really is surprising to see how bad this movie really is. There is so much potential in the storyline for some great humour, but this film fails to capitalise on even one situation. The film would have been better off to lose its gross-out nature as it really wasn't required, and I thought the acting performances were only average at best.

The movie also went way too long. I mean the whole section of trying to illegally cross the border into the US was so unexpected for this kind of film, and only succeeded to drag it even further down.

The only saving grace for the film (and what made me give it 2 stars) is the ending. I must admit, I loved the ending. It was perfect and unexpected, but was wasted on such a terrible film.

I am a fan of The Farrelly Brothers (although I have no plans to watch "The Perfect Catch"), and although I did enjoy "Shallow Hal" and "Stuck On You", I was glad to hear that they had finally decided to return to more gross-out style comedy.

Unfortunately, The Farrelly Brothers don’t seem to know how to make gross-out humour funny anymore. I don’t think I laughed once at any of the more adult moments in the film, they were just foul, and sometime quite dull.

The story was also very poor, and none of the characters were likeable, not even, what I consider, a fairly reliable Ben Stiller. Well maybe the film has a moral tale to it, and an Adam Sandler style underlying sweetness to it. Nope, it has neither.

Overall, this is the worst Farrelly Brothers film so far, and I suggest that next time, they check out their old films to remind themselves what does and doesn’t work in comedy.

Its refreshing to actually see a comedy made for adults. Its becoming a rarity that you see an R rated comedy. Stiller plays a man who is 40 and feeling the pressure of getting married. He meets a lady and after awhile he marries her. When they go on their honeymoon he mets the actual lady of his dreams and then the comedy insues. Stiller's acting is good in this movie as is his father. The acting in this movie is preety decent. I think its a pretty funny movie worth a rental. I have never seen the original movie so I cannot compare the two. Yes the story is pretty weak but the acting presence of stiller and company make this a movie worth a viewing.

  The Farrellys have always danced along the tightrope between funny-disgusting and just plain gross in "There's Something About Mary" and "Shallow Hal." If the ratio was about 50-50 at the best of times, it's now 30-70 in favor of crassness.
