This is one great movie nothing is bad in this movie the story is told very well everybody does a great job on this movie.

Not an outstanding film, but still a likeable political dramedy.

Although Julia Roberts and Amy Adams' performances were a bit weak, Philip Seymour Hoffman once again provides a great character piece, and Tom Hanks is very watchable...

It wasn´t untill now that I got to see Charlie Wilson´s War, I didn´t know what to expect from the movie but I was possitivly suprised. I found Charlie Wilson´s War to be a highly entertaining Drama/Comedy. Very Well directed at times by Mike Nichols. The writing was great, it had some very good dialouge in it and the characters where well written, and acted. The actors gave the characters life and it´s the acting and character portrayal that is the best thing about this movie. Tom Hanks is great, but not as good as he once was. Julia Roberts isn´t mutch in the movie but she does a good job. But the actor who stands out is of cource Philip Seymour Hoffman who plays Gust. He recived a well decerved oscar nomination for the role. While I would say it was worth an Oscar it was one of the highlights of last year. It has great comedy timing, great writing and acting. So is is not too late to check this movie out.

Watch the film for the acting. If you are into the latter and politics, then Charlie Wilson's War is your movie. Even if you don't like politics, you might find yourself interested in them after this film is done with you. It's, by no means, a dry...

Watch the film for the acting. If you are into the latter and politics, then Charlie Wilson's War is your movie. Even if you don't like politics, you might find yourself interested in them after this film is done with you. It's, by no means, a dry take on the last bits of the cold war - it will make you laugh, some out-loud and others at least a chuckle. But you will be entertained, and when you go to a movie, that's often all that matters.

It's nothing too special, however, because it has chains attached to it as it is based on a true story, so it doesn't really take you on an epic, or very original journey through the many themes that make up war movies. If you are craving great acting and some politics, then this is the latest, and greatest offering.
