This is an interesting movie with 2 good actors in it. Part of the problem is that one of those actors has less than an hours screen time. Hopkins plays a man who kills his wife and admits to it. Gosling plays the DA who is days away from leaving his job to take a cushy position in a big firm. This "seems" to be a slam dunk of a case and in the end we find out its not so easy. The acting in the movie is well done but hopkins does not have a long screen time. Gosling is in the bulk of the film as the da investigating the crime. There are your basic plot twists in this movie that you would expect from any movie like this. Is there anything here that you have not seen before? I would have to say no. No new ground broken in this movie. Its more of a cat and mouse movie with a twist in the ending. This is a good movie thats worth a viewing.
