I loved this movie! The music is great! ABBA rocks. I wouldn't say that the acting was all that fantastic, but it got the job done. And anything with Meryl Streep is set to be a hit. I didn't see the live show, so I can't comment on if it's good...

I didn't see the live show, so I can't comment on if it's good or not. All I can say that I totally enjoyed this movie and can't wait to put it in my DVD collection!

As a movie, "Mamma Mia!" is deeply flawed, but the fun, peppy soundtrack almost salvages this mess. Having seen the superior stage production in Chicago five years before the movie was released, I was impressed by how faithful the first hour of the film was to the original show. From there, the wheels fall off: one principal character disappears from the movie for almost 20 minutes; scenes are re-arranged and extra musical numbers are shoehorned in; the original, ambiguous ending is scrapped for something that wants to give the audience unnecessary closure. On top of that, Pierce Brosnan is an awful singer, and the choreography is little more than flailing your arms for five minutes at a time. Nevertheless, ABBA gave the world some damn good music, and for the most part the movie justifies the band's oeurve.

Better acting than singing and not as good as the stage musical (London) but still enjoyable because of the music and the obvious fun that the actors had with their roles...

I loved this Movie from begining to end. I have been wanting to watch this Movie from Day 1 that I saw the Trailer and it was really worth watching as I could not stop smiling and laughing through out the Movie hehe :) Two Thumbs Up for Sure.

The entire movie was delightful, and yes it was somewhat cheesy and corny, but what can you expect with ABBA songs? However, guys take note this is a chick flick. It had a Ya-YA Sisterhood feel to the movie. Go see it and you will not be sorry.
