28 Days Later would've been fine without a sequel. It was really lame and stupid how the second outbreak of the Rage virus broke out. I was nearly yelling at the movie screen during the breakout period. Plus, the film tries a little too hard to be scary. I mean, it was scary, but there were a lot of parts that were meant to be scary that turned into headaches, such as the ending. I mean, seriously, you're in a tunnel, alone, looking through Night-Vision... when suddenly, BOOM! A ghostly silhouette appears. It wasn't scary... it was just another migraine. Other than these useless details, 28 Weeks Later is worthy of the "28 ___ Later" name and lives up to its predecessor.

This one is defiantly not as good as the first one but still pretty good. What I liked most about this one rather than its predassor was that it was more intense and it really showed that off towards the end. What I didnt liked was that it had no character depth like the first one, pretty bad setup, wasnt scary like the first one, and no originality since the plot seem pretty similar to some other apocalyptic films.Though if you didnt like the first one rather there wasnt enough action or gore for you but you wanted to like it then should enjoy this one.If you enjoyed the first one then you might find this one unsatisfying but if you forget that this is a sequel to that movie then you should find this an alright zombie flick. While i enjoyed the first one more i still found alot to enjoy about this one mainly towards its second half.

I liked this movie quite good. It was pretty darn thrilling and all that. It could've been better.

The underlying message in this one was a bit more head-on. A lot is being said about the father transferring his guilt into rage and passing that down to his son - pretty blunt. Its a good point though. There were some great opportunities for some beautiful camera work and CGI - and I thought they hit them pretty well. The negative part about that is it gave the film a mainstream feel that was hard to shake.
Definitely worth seeing for any horror/apocalypse fan. For others, its pretty gory but its got a lot more message than you would expect.
One question - was the dad in this some sort of sprinter or what?

I'm a huge fan of the first movie and this one did not let me down. Things seem to be under control near the beginning of the movie but one stupid stunt ruins everything for the people that came back to England. I really like how it ended....could there be another sequel? Who knows? I recommend this movie to any fan of the original.

When i had heard this movie was near my theaters i was so stoked for another master piece. But i was left with broken hopes. This was a well done move for main stream movies. It had no and i stress no damn story line all they do is run and run.

And my biggest issue with this movie.
When there running in night how about switch on a few light because as i was sitting there for 30 minutes of the damn thing i was blind and could not see what the hell happen.
They tried the classic 80s horror feel to it all gore no story line.
If they can not get the original people to do it then they should not touch it at all and let it be!

I might work up the courage to watch the whole thing one day...but not anytime soon.

I can always appreciate certain film qualities. I'm not a big gore fan so that of course will influence my opinion of a film but, nonetheless, I enjoyed this for what it was. The camera shots supported the feeling of chaos and fear that the film was essentially all about. I also loved what actually transpired. The breakup of the family was heartbreaking but the question answered at the very beginning of the movie is a question from 1984. When faced with your greatest fear, i.e. death, who are you willing to sacrifice in order to save yourself. Clearly, this man had to save himself. I don't blame him. I thought it was an honest portrayal. As for the sister's later sacrifice, natural but unfortunate. The desperation of the government to eliminate this virus (that it created), the humanity of the soldiers as their guilt (in one heroic symbol) got the best of them. In post apocalyptic London, it was a great commentary on mankind. My only wish...the doctor had told the sister what the meaning of her and her brother was. If she could shoot her father, she might have been willing to shoot her brother just to save humanity. Great setup for sequel or merely as the anti-ending. Something like that will spread, mutate, and exterminate. Either way, if you liked the first one, you'll enjoy this.

Some say 28 weeks later is better than the original. I didn´t think even the original was as good as everybody says. I was expecting nothing realy, after all it is a sequel. I wasn´t suprised when it was a good movie. The story is good, but it seems like this movie was mde just to kill people on the screen, i liked how 28 Days Later ended. The acting isn´t at top, the scipt is overall good, and the ending leves open for another sequel *Sigh*.
