After a brutal serial killer is put to death, the "Chess Piece Murders" start all over again. Ex LAPD Detective and former chess prodigy, Dan Marlowe, used his psychic abilities to see the murders happening through the killer's own eyes, which led to the capture and execution of the man responsible for the 'Chess Piece Murders'...or did it? As the killings resume, the murdered uses Marlowe's ex-partner Roman Krieg, to suck him back into the deadly chess match. The two of them must now capture the killer in order to prove that they did not send an innocent man to his execution.
