21 is a young sexy story of struggling MIT student Ben, played by Jim Sturgess who just came back to planet Earth after his really bad trip Across the Universe. Ben is a wiz kid whose good with numbers, practically unbeleivably good. When his proffesor Mickey Rosa, played excelentlly and villanously by Kevin Spacey, sees Ben's gift he knows that he'll be good on a top secret Blackjack Team. Ben is reluctant to join but eventually gives in knowing he needs the money. When they reach Vegas you are glued to this movie just as you're glued to the even better book entitled Bringing Down the House. Ben eventually gets full of himself and screws up and runs into Laurence Fishbourne, only adding to the great performances throughout this film. The very last shot of that movie was a little too much of a clishe but the rest is pure genius. This film does a great job of capturing the neon and pure sex of Vegas. I loved the movie almost as much as I loved the book. some really great stuff, especially Kevin spacey in his best role in a quite a few years.

BEFORE you judge the movie because its a "High Budget" movie that it isn't a good movie. The characters were great and the played like the greedy young adults that most of us are. Kevin Spacey was a strong role and Kate Bosworth played a cute supporting actress. The movie is a good example of how greedy success and a bit of knowledge can pave the way for other doors to open regardless if they are positive or negative. I thought the movie was great.

I applaud this movie. I had been disappointed with a string of poor movies before this one, and this film took me out of my slump. I had seen a documentary about this story on the History Channel about the real story, so I was very intrigued...

I applaud this movie. I had been disappointed with a string of poor movies before this one, and this film took me out of my slump. I had seen a documentary about this story on the History Channel about the real story, so I was very intrigued when the movie did come out, and it did not let me down.

My favorite part were all of the special effects. The camera angles, the slow and fast motion, the sounds of Vegas, it was exhilarating. The story of an MIT student who counts cards to pay for medical school is very compelling, and followable while throwing in some fun twists.

To a person who is looking for a movie with action, drama, and comedy all packed into a true story, you will love 21.

Few years back i had seen a film just like this. But in lower budget term.
I had enjoyed that movie better.

For me to actually say i liked this would say i liked all Hollywood films.
I have no reason to see some high price remake. When i can see something thats already cheaper on dvd and enjoy something that is not so main stream.

I have only notice one thing and is the movies today are going back and remaking other films and to bring them in main streams some will work some will fail.
And this seems to be a fail.
