well to be quite honest Im not into this kinda of movies much but it was ok.
simple story,no much effects,and it is more suitable for children...

The movie was okay. Dwayne Johnson was probably the best guy for the job. He was pretty funny at times of the movie. This movie just shows that he's a good all-round actor. From "Doom" to "Game Plan" - that's a big transition.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson stars as American football star, Joe Kingman. He has everything he wants until one day he opens his door to find out he has an eight year old daughter, Peyton, from a relationship before he was a star. So it's out with the string of Russian girlfriends and sports cars and in with ballet lessons and station wagons in this family comedy.

The main body of the film shows how he juggles suddenly being a single parent while trying to maintain his good form and lead his team to the championship.

Many see The Rock (or Dwayne to his mum) as Arnie's successor. We know he can do action and this shows his softer, more family friendly side and it's surprisingly good. Sure the whole thing is a bit cheesy in places but there's a steady flow of laughs throughout.

I thought this movie was ok. What I can't understand is way the girl would lie to her Dad about her mother. And one scene in the film I hate that didn't need to be in there was a guy tell the girl that her dad look like a "Stupid a--."...

I like the Rock, but this wasn't his best film. I give it 3 stars.

I came into the movie expecting the worst but was surprised it provided an interesting if expectable story. I really liked the Rock in this movie and can tell he is improving with each movie he's in. This is a pretty safe pick if you are looking...

  The two best things about this logic-challenged, predictable and overlong (110 minutes!) film are The Rock's performance - surely he's one of the more likable people in the movies, and here he handles physical sight gags with aplomb; and the parallel disciplines of football and ballet, which provide a way for father and daughter to understand each other.

  It's painless, especially if you have a small child in tow, and the Rock, bless his heart, acts like it's all new to him. The star should do more comedy - he's got quick reflexes and a face that lends itself to cartoon double takes, and he's not afraid to look completely ridiculous.
