"An awful, rushed and thoroughly implausible horror thriller loaded with wasted potential and dumbfounded scares."

Funny; this movie supposedly took 6 months and 17 days to film, yet I can't remember the last horror movie that felt as rushed as this did. It's also a shame that over 6 and a half months months was effectively wasted on stale, incredibly unrealistic and implausible, predictable thriller. Sometimes it's a tiny bit creepy, but most of the time it's almost laughably bad and the scares, while mostly in a traditional fashion, are usually cheap and repetitive. This movie is merely an exercise in wasted potential which can't even rely on a "so-bad-it's-good" factor to back it up. Fans of 'Saw', which was actually clever and entertaining, will be sorely disappointed and even casual movie-going audiences should be put off.

James Wan, Leigh Whannel. Those two names together should have sold you on this movie alone. Its the duo that brought us Saw and their back with another original movie that in my eyes HAD to be at least mediocre. I was wrong. I'm a huge fan of the original Saw and honestly expected a lot more from these guys. The story is stupid, the movie is slow at parts, and generally doesn't crave your attention. The only thing that made me go "OH there's the saw guys" was the twist which was decent. I'd only recommend this if you're bored or got a free movie pass. Cmon Liegh & James you can do better!

For some damn reason i like this one.It wasnt as good as i hoped for especially because it was directed by the guy who did the original saw and that it had puppets though it was pretty good.I liked the whole tale of mary shaw and the chacters.I didnt like how they didnt take advantage of the creepiness factor of puppets well atleast in my opinion it could of been much more scary but instead it felt like some cheap scares instead of real ones.I liked the saw like ending.I liked the idea though it didnt pull through all the way for me.Hopefully they will do another puppet film but with more focus on making the puppets more creepy since i am terrified by them and didnt feel terrified watching them.Now normally these type of films piss me off but i found more than enough satisfaction from this type of film which is suprising so in my opinion this one is atleast worth a look.
