Andy Samberg is a funny guy, but in this movie he doesn't have enough to work with. Remember the scene in 'Napolean Dynamite' where Jon Heder did a bicycle stunt with hilariously disasterous results. Well you get that bit about 30 times here....

Andy Samberg is a funny guy, but in this movie he doesn't have enough to work with. Remember the scene in 'Napolean Dynamite' where Jon Heder did a bicycle stunt with hilariously disasterous results. Well you get that bit about 30 times here. Samberg play Rod Kimble who so bad to be a stuntman and to show up his stepfather played by the bad guy from 'Deadwood' Ian McShane. Isla Fisher is wasted in the role of Rod's next door neighbor who take a liking to him and his friends. I think with a better script and more ambition from the charaters they could have gave us a verry funny movie, this is not that movie. Even though the material is uneven this movie a few laughs, huge dumbass laughs. Nothing made me laugh harder than anything I seen in a comedy for example the scene where he falls down a mountain over and over and over. That was very inspiring and daring, just better shot and staged comedy I really like. Other than that I just wanted alittle more from this movie for me to really like it.

this movie was ok but a little stupid for my taste alot of the parts in the movie were just way to random I guess they thought it would be funny if they were just weird but some stuff was funny

I really like Andy Samberg in this movie playing an over-the-top stuntman wannabe. I had to watch the movie twice to really enjoy the comedy because to be honest the first time I saw it I really didn't like it. The best had to be the crazy cool...

So funny the movie is a lot like Napolyn dynomite. Isla Fisher shows once again what a funny actress she is! Will Arnett also gives a small but funny performance

I could see what they where going for with this movie. They figured they would make a silly comedy and it might fall into the cool category and people would go to see it. The problem is that that movie (Super Bad) was released about a week after...

I could see what they where going for with this movie. They figured they would make a silly comedy and it might fall into the cool category and people would go to see it. The problem is that that movie (Super Bad) was released about a week after this one and it blew this garbage away. The basic story is that the main character is a bad stunt man who is going to do a jump to help raise money to save his step father. The idea that a kid with no training is a stunt man is never explained. The fact that he cannot actually do the jumps or any of the stumts could have made this movie funny but lets face it.. its not funny. The actually "funny" scenes consist of Rod running into things or getting hit or something to that affect. This looks like a long SNL skit. Samberg is not bad as a comedic actor but he needs more then this to make a movie. This movie is poorly written directed acted everything across the board. The only good thing about this movie is that it is short in length. This is a bad movie which is not worth a rental. Super Bad comes out the week after this one so skip this one and get that one.

  Samberg can't carry this, though director Akiva Schaffer supplies some hilarious, "Jackass"-style wipeouts and there are nice supporting turns from Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers) as Rod's love interest and Bill Hader as one of his goofball friends.
