Not an average movie. Wasn't as great as expected. Could have been a longer movie with more back story on the mom and Roland.

Not bad, but not all it could have been, either. A young man is gifted with the ability to teleport. We meet his high school classmates and the school bully, as well as his difficult family, and watch as he learns to use the power in order to protect himself. But with great power comes great temptation, and the young man is soon using teleportation in order to pull off crimes and sneak in and out of wild parties. He soon learns all this is not without consequence. There are those who fear the teleporters and will strive to wipe them out. Can the young man and his friends stop the menace, as well as learn to do something with the power other than be self-serving? There is a little too much gray area between good and evil here, and you won't want very young children to see this film. Older kids should be okay. And hey, it has Samuel Jackson. It's worth a rental.

The movie could've been more intertwined, intense and action packed. There weren't enough fighting scenes. With these powers u've just gotta add more fighting scenes.
Still I liked it :P

Jumper is the story of David (Christinsen), a young man who can teleport himself anywhere around the globe in a second. Samuel L. Jackson plays Rowland, leader of the Paladins, a group of religious fanatics who hunt down and kill Jumpers which is what David is. David has no idea of this but uses his powers to rob banks and live the good life. Jumper started off very intrigungly and I liked it. About 30 minutes in, it starts to movie too fast and it gets too plastic. For example, when you think someone is dead for eight years, and they suddenly show up, you don't go to Rome with them within a day of finding out he's really not dead, see the movie, you'll know what I mean. I'm stil recommending this though because despite it's long list of flaws I thought it was an entertaining film. To much just happens right away in a very short period of time. So I say, go see Jumper, just don't get expect to get blown away. I do understand those who feel like "jumping" to another movie, but all in all it's worth it. So "jump" to the nearest theater for Jumper.

Jumper is a movie that goes a little too fast, sags a little too much, and seeks for a plot a little too hard. I was trying my best to keep up with the speed of the movie. The plot and characters were nearly thoroughly introduced BEFORE the title appeared. Plus, the plot lagged hard. Okay, so Hayden Christensen is a Jumper that lives the dream and away from trouble. He can go anywhere and practically do anything he pleases. Then the villain (mister Samuel Jackson) suddenly shows up out of the dark. Plus, the love interest of the main protagonist was too intense. I didn't really think the two would go on a global trip to Rome all of a sudden and "get it on." Sure, they had a childhood link, but that could've quickly demolished. Here's the finalization: Jumper is a movie that could've been WAY WAY better, but it could've also been way way worse.

What's worst, the jumpers are not very enduring and quite annoying in the spoiled child kind of way. The only reason why I cheered for them is the unrelenting religious minded desire to kill these jumpers for no other reason but because God should only have this power. Like God has this self esteem problem of others that may have a small piece of His power.
