A great ending to a wonderful anime. I honestly don't understand how people did not like the movie, but I did and I haven't seen many episodes. 2 years later, we see Ed in our world in Europe. Alternate reality characters are seen looking like the Amestrian characters. And who could forget the song "Kelas" which means "Let's Dance" that the gypsies sing. I find myself singing the song every single time that I play the song.

Fascinating, informative, and alright. I finally watched the entire series because the show got kicked off of adult swim. My biggest question is: what's going to happen after the movie?

After the television series ended off with a bang and an enigma, the creators decided to bring the series to the big screen. The biggest problems with creating movies off of television series is that they can seem rather shallow, and Conqueror of Shamballa falls into this hole. After the rather climatic ending to finish off the series, Conqueror of Shamballa finds Edward Elric in a 1920s post-war Germany, struggling to fit in. It is seen that a lot of characters in this world are based off of characters from Ed's own world of alchemy, Amestris, although they exhibit vastly different personalities, to fully demonstrate that our world is a parallel to Amestris, but that's its only purpose. Being in Germany at this time, you see the rise of the Nazi party (although for the purpose of this movie known as the Thule Society), and they have knowledge of Amestris and plan to conquer it. In Amestris, Alphonse is back to his regular self, and finds out that his brother is in Earth, and attempts to get him back, at the same time Ed is finding a way to back in. The brothers Elric reunite and fend off the Thule Society, but at a cost.

As a movie, Conqueror of Shamballa is strictly for fans of the series. People who haven't seen the series will be confused as to what's going on most of the time. I do have to say that I was disappointed with the poor story, and the way it ended.

Overall, the Conqueror of Shamballa is a great movie for fans of the series, but doesn't cater to anyone new to the series. For those who like animated films, you're better off looking elsewhere.

The story was just terrible. The animation was no where near as good as the series as was the music. Personally I'm going to try and forget the movie was ever made so it won't take away from the greatest anime series ever made.

To make a filler end better, they did a movie... to seal almost all chances of continuing the series...

It leaves a lot of emptyness after watching it, still a good hsitory that a FmA fan or anime fan cant miss, a very fluid plot make it something that you cant just stop watching... at the end just leaves a lot " I wished this happened" and more... at the same time it could be publicty to buy the manga series and continue the history there...

A wonderful movie. After the anime left us on that cliffhanger, it was nice to see what all happened in the movie. The storyline was great, though it did leave us left to wonder...
