Its Vince Vaughn saves Christmas. In the beginning of the movie hes a bit of a scrooge but a scrooge you want to cheer for. Vaughn is full of quick witted 1 liners and sharp retorts. Vaughn's imporvization is one of the best qualities of this film, like in many of his others. Its one of those seasonal feel good family get together type films, which doesnt really make sense but its more fun then staring at the fireplace for 2 hours, while sipping eggnog and humming some old melody.

Its not gonna make you LOL or XD in your pants but, what were you expecting?

What I like best about this film is that it has some profound and endearing messages that really do capture the spirit of christmas. I think it was a quick and easy way for V V to make a buck, and improve his PR image a little. Why not?

I dont see how anyone can really hate this movie, unless your like anti christmas. Its basicaly the same exact formula thats been over used and abused since Ernest saves christmas circa 1988.

I really didn't enjoy this movie as much as I wanted to. It was funny at some parts, but the rest of the movie was just dull and had little emotion. I liked the second half of the movie a whole lot, but the first half was painful to sit through.

There are some funny moments in this film, what alot of people don't get, is this is story with a morale to it, and to teach a lesson to what a little kid may ask "why didn't Santa get the present I wanted, I thought I was good", also...

Theres the point that even a Santa Claus maybe should think before marking a kid naughty, which tells the viewer, not everyone is bad, maybe theres a reason.

Even for a holiday film this movie sucked. I didn't care about any of the characters or what happened to them throughout the entire movie.

Unless you are darn good at repressing memories, don't watch this movie at all. The plot is boring and predictable and paper-thin, and there are no laughs to be had. At perhaps one, or maybe even two points, you may find yourself one the very beginning of the border of a chuckle or smile, but it is quickly distinguished by a reminder of why the film's writers should never work again. The plot moves along with the pace of a snail, if you even notice they tried to fake a plot at all. The lack of action will leave kids whining or sleeping, and the utter stupidity will have parents banging their heads against a wall, wishing they could get their money back.

When I saw the trailers, I thought "great, another Santa Claus themed movie." But when a friend asked me to go, I said yes, because Vince Vaughn is usually hilarious, and it was promising that the director also directed Wedding Crashers....

When I saw the trailers, I thought "great, another Santa Claus themed movie." But when a friend asked me to go, I said yes, because Vince Vaughn is usually hilarious, and it was promising that the director also directed Wedding Crashers. It wasn't a horrible movie, but it wasn't great either. I would put it slightly above the original Tim Allen Santa Claus but definitely below the far superior Elf. It had some chuckles, but very few big laughs. The storyline was kind of dull and predictable. I did enjoy the "siblings anonymous" scene, with Stephen Baldwin, Frank Stallone and Roger Clinton. Still, it could have been a much better movie.
