I liked this movie. It was like You Got Served, except with more seriousness and more emotion. The dancing was incredible looking, and the angles were good and the slo-mo effects were intense. I liked the storyline. It was compelling enough for me to want to follow from where DJ's brother was shot to the end. I give this movie 4 stars.

Stomp the Yard was a great movie despite all the negative reviews. It was real hip and crunk and had a lot of hot dancin. The actors in the movie were great and everything came together. I never knew how big steppin was until I watched this movie.

OK ok.. Now we all know what this movie is about.. Dancing. Yes you heard it right dancing. Essentially thats what it is about. Its called stepping but its basically rhythmic dancing. The story is about a young man who goes to college after losing his brother in a fight. He is the classic fish out of water but he knows how to "dance" so both fraternities what him. Then you get the usual training session and of course the main character failing so that in the end you get the rocky come back. Yes this movie is very predictable down to the last sequence. I am not going to say that it is bad but there is nothing new here. Its well done with acting being well average. The music is good and the dancing well done. I would recommend this movie because it shows the world of stepping and the exact way they do it but be forewarned there is nothing new here. Also the female lead (Good) is beautiful and good to look at and that never hurts a movie.

awesome movie, the dances are awesome at the end. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes dance movies or "Drumline".
