Now I have to admit that clooney is good in this movie. This movie tells the story of a fixer who works for a big time firm. One of their lead attorneys goes nuts working on a big client's case. They send clooney in to clean up the mess. He finds out that the crazy attorney is right and then something happens. I do not want to reveal too much because then it spoils the movie. I have to honest with you but the ending of this movie leaves something to be desired. Its actually a pretty flat ending. Swinton is good in this movie and you see why she won the academy award. Wilkinson is great also in this movie but I can where it has its faults. I will be honest and say that this is not a very good movie. Yes the acting is top notch but the actual movie itself is not very good. I reccomend this movie if not to only see the great acting.

The acting is excellent and the cast is AAA. Watch it if you want to see a movie that will make you think.

The thing is, Michael Clayton has an incredibly well written script, and a fantastic squad of actors and actresses. It is entertaining at times, and the end of the movie is the high point. I don´t recomend Michael Clayton to everyone, just the people who doesn´t get bored of this kind of movie.

Michael Clayton is a dark lawyer drama starring some of the best actors in Hollywood today, such as George Clooney and the legendary Tom Wilkinson. Clooney has the leading role of Michael, a lawyer who has to cope with the apparent mental breakdown of his colleague and friend (Wilkinson) and corruption within his own firm. Wilkinson plays Aurthor Edens, who may be either a mentally psycotic man or a genius who has just cracked the Da Vinci Code, or both. Coming into the picture is a corrupt spokeswoman for a agro-chemical company, which has recently been sued, she is played bu the impressive Tilda Swinton. Clooney gives one of the best performances of his career, along with Tilda Swinton who gives the best performance of her short career. The director Tony Gilroy knows howto keep us interested in guessing even when we don't know what's going on. An amazing film with an all star cast makes this a must see.

Serious Clooney at (nearly) his best. Not quite as full and deep as Syriana, and occasionally veering dangerously close to John Grisham territory, this is a tense and surprisingly visually attractive film with excellent acting and a great ending.
