I have to admit at first I really did not want to see this movie. It seemed pretty lame but after watching the previews it seemed ok. Upon watching this movie I must admit I was kinda wrong. The basic premise of this movie is a outkast showcase. Basically what you see is them performing songs dancing and such in a cotton clubesque environment. I really have to question Terrence Howard's agent in having his client taking such a lack luster movie. The whole plot is thin and the acting at best is average. Its a music movie with a little story which suddenly ends. While the musical pieces are lavish they are few and far between. The acting dialogue chews up the screen. The actors really look like they are sleep walking thru this movie. Its an average movie worth a rental just for the music.
