The non-friday night film, but would stretch to fit the criteria. Al Gore is not the president of the United States of America but did release a DVD about world pollution and spiralling decline of life in this earth. If you haven't done your geography homework for sometime I really recommend this DVD, if you are a studying Geoligist, Botanist, or Aqua Marine Student then you have seen and know it all.

That off my chest the data can be convincing if you don't realize that the earth's climate changes on it's own ((how else would there have been an ice age?))and we can hardly combat what the earth will do on it's own.

An Inconvenient Truth is a Powerpoint presentation designed by Al Gore to convey evidence of global warming and its immediate threats to any audience.

The documentary is biased and slanted, as most documentaries about controversial subjects have been, as of late. This is not to say that there are any untruths, only that the film is designed to provide evidence that global warming is real, immediate, and that action needs to be taken.

In this sense the movie succeeds. The facts are obvious, the message basic, and length appropriate to convey Gore's message. However, it is difficult to shake the nagging feeling that Gore is a hypocrite, driving and flying constantly in traditional internal combustion powered vehicles when alternatives are available, at least for ground travel. The movie does occassionally get bogged down by internal monologues, as well.

Often the scenes of the film pan away from Gore's Powerpoint show, which is generally the best part, to show him sitting in a car thinking about his youth. You will also listen to voiceovers of Gore's ponderances while viewing a serene lake or mountain range.

As a movie, An Inconvenient Truth tends to be "preachy" and can plod during scenes where the filmmaker's wanted to convey information, but were unsure what images they wanted to put alongside the dialogue. As a source of information for the everyman, An Inconvenient Truth succeeds in being dumbed-down enough that everyone can learn how important it is to consider alternative fuel use, buying local foods, and other habits that can reduce fossil fuel consumption to slow global warming.

Al Gore continues to fly in big jets, and huge limos, trying to promote this. If he really is concerned about global warming and such.....he would use public transportation. But because he has a lot of money, he can buy "carbon credits." Which means, he can live his lavish, carbon consuming lifestyle, while telling the rest of us what we need to do. He won an award for this at the Oscars.......where umpteen celebrities raved about it, after arriving in separate limos. Why didn't they carpool like they should have.....IF they're really concerned about the environment? They need to put their money where their mouth is. Otherwise it means squat.

Al Gore's passion piece is startling, if only because of the amount of information and misinformation that is available on Global Warming. This doc attempts to separate the facts from the myths and present Global Warming as an immediate, impending danger. The main focus is to raise awareness, but Gore also makes some suggestions for reducing harmful emissions. Messages of this nature can often become preachy, but Gore's overall passion for this topic help elevate the message from preachy to proactive.

An Inconvenient Truth is one of the most powerful documentaries you will see in recent times.

We all know that Global Warming is causing damage to the Earth, but this documentary opens our eyes and shows us what WILL happen if we sit by and do nothing..

The film stars Al Gore, he is the perfect person to host this film, he is exacting, precise and presents an extremely well researched and documented case that shows the effects of global warming, AND the future potential effects as well.

But it’s really more than that, Gore does come across as a man who really does passionately care about what he is talking about, which is no surprise as he has been on the environmental bandwagon for many, many years, moreso since he lost his chance at the White House in 2000..

Some may debate that this film is a little too liberal for its own good and maybe there right. But what you can’t deny is the fact that If we don’t do something about this and soon, this World will be a much poorer place to live because we really we all one race…Human and we all need to inhabit this Earth together.

At first I thought it was just a boring documentary but while seeing it I really enjoyed it a lot. A great film that is supposed to change people's attitudes. Everyone must see it!

If there's nothing going on to prolong global warming then it can show some devastating results. However the number on thing that' stopping it is top buisnesses. I'm not saying you should see the movie, even though Al Gore did a pretty good job with it. I just feel that there's stuff we can do to slow down global warming before the Earth's ecosystem and habitats are destroyed.
