A beautiful movie to look at. David Wenham's narrative on the back is apt and appropriate; ruthless and simple like the rest of the movie.

There isn't too much in 300 when it comes into a plot with twists and turns. The movie isn't too short or too long - though the scenes with the queen do not perhaps fall in between the fighting scenes as well as they could. They merge well enough, though, not making either part of the story to stand out too much.

The fighting scenes are pretty human, considering what they could be.

pretty good alot of epic battles and fights and some parts were pretty clever but still the movie can at times seem a little boring and over done and maybe a little fake but the slow motion scenes are awsome

300 is a fun movie. Very intense. Tons of action. I also think the message is relevant in today's world. The importance of standing up against tyranny and fighting evil -- even when the odds are hopeless and you are doomed. It's better to go down...

300 is a fun movie. Very intense. Tons of action. I also think the message is relevant in today's world. The importance of standing up against tyranny and fighting evil -- even when the odds are hopeless and you are doomed. It's better to go down swinging than capitulate to the forces of darkness.

It's a very martial movie that definitely gets the blood stirring. I also think it's good that there are movies that celebrate the classical roots of Western society.

Nowadays it's fashionable to constantly bash the West and America. But America is just the most recent manifestation of Western culture, which had its origins back in the Greco-Roman world. Europe and America, for all our differences, are really just squabbling brothers. We have the same cultural origins.

Wow~ I was wondering if this movie would do well. But, after I saw it in the theatre my husband and I went back to see it again. We now own it and watch it when ever it is on TV but not as good as the theatre.

The cinematography and special effects of this movie were brilliant! Very few movies catch my attention as much as this one. The fight scenes were intense, the drama back in sparta was frightening, and the love you develop for the characters is astonishing. I really enjoyed the mythological aspects of the opposing army. Giant elephants, Indistructable ghost warriors...ughhhh! GIVE ME MORE. Don't let me forget about all the great one liners in this movie. Superb! One of my favorites of all time.

The only reason I do not give this film 5 stars is the fact that some persions, wolves, and preists didn't look realistic. if they make a film or graphic novel of one of history's most greatest events; i think they shouldn't let their imagination get out of hand. nevertheless, one of the greatest films I've ever seen. I recommend it to even the most picky of movie watchers.
