Absolutely awesome comedy ! Haven't laughed this much in a long time :) I can't even think of anything nega...oh w8...homosexuality. But even that was packed very well :D

Eventhough I get a reasonable amount of enjoyment out of even the worst Adam Sandler movies, following the reviews of this film I had read, I was dubious to buy the film, eventhough it was only £8 in the sales. I decided to rent it instead.......that turned out to be a wise choice.

Although it was nice to see that Adam Sandler hadn't decided to stick with his more recent sombre comedy stylings of both "Spanglish" and "Click", he has instead decided to coat his humour with 70 minutes of non-stop sexism, racism, and homophobia.

You may note that I said 70 minutes, rather the full 110 minutes. That is because the last 40 minutes of the film suddenly does a 180 look at the situation, and becomes a very likeable pro-homsexual comedy. And whatsmore, even Jessica Biel finally manages to just about pull off a good enough performace to knock her out of her usual bland bimbo character style.

Unfortunately, eventhough it ends on a half decent high, the first 70 minutes are so incredibly offensive, that they sour the film forever. Thus leaving a fairly likeable middle of the road comedy as nothing more than a very poorly executed idea.

An ish movie.. Adam was funny and there was a few good jokes it wasn't exactly an amazing movie that will make my day but don't think sit down and chill. It's O.K........

I know I should be politically correct and hate this film, but it was actually very good, and I don't think it offended gays at all, if anything it was more telling us to accept them. Even though there are homophobic slurs and scenes, relax because the movie isn't.

Adam Sandler can be funny on film but he's just annoying here. Kevin James isn't funny on television, and he's even more difficult to watch on film. Lame.

Comic favorites Adam Sandler (Click) and Kevin James (The King of Queens) prove that there is nothing you would do for a friend in the funny summer comedy "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry". Womanizing bachelor Chuck Levine (Sandler) and widowed father Larry Valentine (James) are best friends and veteran firefighters of New York City. After Larry saves his life, Chuck reluctantly agrees to help his close friend by posing as his "domestic partner" to make certain that his kids will receive his pension. When a government bureaucrat (Steve Buscemi) investigates their newly domestic partnership, these two straight men will test their friendship as a loving gay couple. "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" is an enjoyable comedy film that holds out due to the comic talents and onscreen chemistry of its stars Adam Sandler and Kevin James. The summer comedy offers some very funny moments and amusing cameos. "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" also stars Jessica Biel, Ving Rhames and Dan Aykroyd.

The GAY agenda of the film is admerable, and the theme is good (in theory) but the exicution was poor and the movie ultimatly fell short early and failed in the end. Don't waste your time on this one.

Hilarious film that really cracked me up most the way through when I wasn't feeling sorry for Larry. Sandler brings heaps of laughs with James. great acting, cool plot and a whole lotta crazy stuff goin on.

Along with Hot Fuzz, this has to be one of the funniest films of the year. The add looked brilliant but when my friend saw it and told me it wasn't good, I thought it would be another one of the many blockbusters this year which turned out horribly but I was wrong. This was a brilliant Adam Sandler movie with an all star cast and a fabulous story. I understand why many didn't like it due to crude humour and homersexual themese but I really enjoyed it and would see it again any day.
