Victor Pivert (Louis de Funes) the rich businessman, is a dreadful man, bad-tempered, rude and a bigot, with a well-honed racism against blacks, Jews, Belgians and Englishmen. After he and his driver Salomon (Guybet), have a car accident, he meets revolutionist leader Mohamed Larbi Slimane (Giraud) who is tracked by killers sent by his government. To save their lives, both men are taking a plane to New York, and while in the airport, they steal the identity of Rabbi Jacob and Rabbi Samuel.
