In the throes of an attack of honesty, François, the younger of the two, refuses to continue accepting bribes. His partner René is forced to do the same. But honesty doesn't pay. Suddenly our heroes are accused of extortion by all those whom they took bribes from. In just a few days, they must kiss goodbye to their careers and way of life. Their replacements: two young inspectors straight as can be, but who turn out to be even more "rotten" than they were. Panic with the "rottens": they have met more "rottten" than themselves!
