San Francisco, 1968: As the family of conservative Hungarian immigrant Zoltan Szabo (Sandor Tesci) struggles to live 'The American Dream,' America itself is beginning to change around them. His son Peter (Eric Larson) is kicked out of college, goes to work for an enigmatic biker (Neil Young) and becomes swept up in the politics of revolution. Meanwhile, his brother Sandy (Robert Locke) drifts from marriage to the military while attempting to confront his own sexuality.
