When Tracy makes it on the show, she encounters a series of intense political and social roadblocks that teach her about the most important things in life. Hairspray is a beautiful film with a poignant message that will make you want to get up and dance.

An absolutely fabulous take on a cult classic, the entire cast was brilliant and the music was very feel-good and catchy. Definitely the best time I've ever had at the movies!

I never stopped smiling. This is an uplifting film with a great bite of humor. The music was great. As good as the original was, this film builds on it and makes it even better. I can't wait to see it over and over again and again.

Hairspray is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, musicals in the last decade! The soundtrack is excellent with undeniable catchy songs and every character has been casted perfectly from John Travolta to Nikki Blonksy who does an outstanding job of her first movie.

The movie has a meaningful message, but unfortunately it is quite predictable. Some people may not like this movie as it "oozes" cheese. However, the majority of people will find this cheese quite enjoyable. Hairpsray isn't a must-see film, but musical fans should most definitely enjoy this film over and over again and it's a movie that is recommended to just about anyone with a fun side.
