I realy enjoyed this movie,a great remake but also a fantastic movie on it's own. It was a new look into the history of the evil Michael Myers and Rob zombie has proved that not only is he great at music but he can make movies.

Rob Zombie does a pretty good job at remaking this awesome horror classic. I really like how they show the making of the killer Michael Myers and explain how he came to be the psycho. Making remakes is never a real popular move in the business...

"Starts off powerful and depressing but turns into a 2-D slasher movie half way and destroys any chance the movie might have had at making something of itself."

Musician-turned-director Rob Zombie's third film and remake of the 1978 horror classic 'Halloween' tries to do too many things at once and ends up looking exhausted. It starts off as a powerfully disturbing and depressing film and a very inventive remake that gives us twice as much insight into Michael Myers' story than the original did. It continues relatively smooth, gets even better once Malcolm McDowell's character is introduced, but when Michael escapes from the asylum and when the film finally starts remaking the original, the film's transition from psychologically powerful horror thriller to a mere slasher movie isn't as smooth as I would have hoped, and the film goes downhill very fast.

I think it's safe to say a better Halloween remake could have been made. This film is by no means a hopeless remake; it brings so much to the table, the acting isn't that bad, and of course, the first act is very good, but because it doesn't continue strong for the whole film I'm going to have to give it a bad rating.

This movie was sick and twisted. But it was great at the same time. I really appreceated the storyline it was very good. Thats personally what i think. I think Rob Zombie Did a great jog of Directing/acting a great movie
