This film is one of the best vampire movies to come out. I am a big fan of vampire films and to see how they changed the vampire story. The film is very dark and has plenty of suspense thrown in. Josh Harnett plays a good lead role in this film....

This film is one of the best vampire movies to come out. I am a big fan of vampire films and to see how they changed the vampire story. The film is very dark and has plenty of suspense thrown in. Josh Harnett plays a good lead role in this film. It was good to see him take the step from playin in Romantic Comedies to take on a more serious role, he plays it very effectivley.

If you want gore and a good scare this is the movie for you. The new look on vampires is very original. If you a horror movie fan then this is one to see. Overall it is worth watching, but believe me if you have a low threshold for blood then maybe you would be best to avoid this. If you want to curl up on the couch with your partner then this one will deffinatley get her in you arms. Hopefully they may carry on from here to make a sequeal.

Surprisingly effective movie with slightly confusing editing but good acting and a surprising ending. Enjoyable!!

the greatest vampire movie i have ever seen. the film has a great story line. awesome graphics for the vampires. it is a shame though that the main character had to die. i love it and give it a 9/10.

I was surprised at how good this movie was. I thought about seeing it in the theater, but I didn't want to take the chance and waste around $24.00 for my girlfriend and I. I was wrong, I rented it, a couple of days ago, and this is a great horror movie. A great story with a original idea for a vampire movie. I don't know why no one has thought of this before. Vampires heading to Alaska where it's where there's no sun for part of the year. The ending was great, a perfect ending. Sadly now it's time to make 4 or 5 horrible sequels.

Despite some flaws in vampire logic, and basic human needs, this was an awesome flick, a great addition to the vampire film genre. It is nice to see a vampire movie done in the Dawn of the Dead or 28 Days Later style, with still some kind of cohesion...(read more) and class. I would have like the vampires to have been completely silent, their dialogue seemed forced and didn't really add anything to the film. I would have liked a little more background before the events begin, but not necessarily on the origns of the vampires. If you love vampire movies you have to give in the fact that you won't always know where they come from, and there in lies the fun. I love the lack of romanticism in the actions and movements of the vampires. The last half hour was awesome, and I for one have found new love for an old pretty face, Hartnett, to see him in a dramatic role. Love the film, despite its flaws.

A brilliant graphic novel and a unique premise are squandered by giving them the standard Hollywood treatment. Yeah, the vampires in this movie are lightning-fast killing machines, and yeah this movie is plenty gory, but I musta missed something- aren't these things supposed to be, like, scary? What IS truly scary is watching Josh Hartnett attempt to act. I eagerly awaited this film, and I am supremely disappointed. What could have been a great horror movie is just watchable.

Simply put, if you're a fan of vampire movies you will like 30 Days of Night.
