When I found out that Saw 2 was coming out a year or so after Saw I was kinda disappointed, it seemed like LionsGate was just trying to ride off the big money flow from the original to see if they can make a successful sequel. In my opinion Saw 2 wasn't that great, sure it was "good" but it lacked the magic touch of the original writers for the story and screenplay (Leigh Whannel and James Wan) so when I heard that saw 3 was coming out, yet again a year after, I could have bet right there that it would be garbage. Later on I found out that the same writers had returned to do Saw 3 - and they did their job! Saw 3 was great, it doesn't touch the original but it sure beats the Saw 2 into the ground - you get everything you'd expect from Saw and more. The plot in Saw 3 starts off right where Saw 2 left it and it makes for a GREAT intro before the opening credits. As the movie goes on we're taking back in flashbacks a few times to explain some stuff in the other two movies and it kinda dulls down a bit on the excitement meter. Once you make it past the slow down after the incredible rush from the intro it gets back into it and stays that way right until the end. I'm not going to give away anything but this: the ending delivers the goods.

You can notice some suspicious stuff in saw 3 that you find out leads towards who was helping jigsaw and amanda.

The acting by the guy who played jeff was kind've bad,and so was the acting from jeff's wife.

this seriously wasne't the best acting they could've done.

Anyways the ending was cool with the death of jigsaw and and amanda,and also the awesome song at the beginning of the ending credits.

An awesome sequel,and would've been a great end to the saw franchise,saw 4 is an ok sequel,but far more nerve wracking and grotesque,plus sexual then the 1st 3 installments.

a lot of the victims in saw 4 deserved to be victims of jigsaw.

The saw franchise still delivers with a great performance by Tobin Bell, great gore effects & an awesome twist ending making this the best movie in the saw series( so far)

But then again, the sequels are always the worst in a trilogy. Saw II depended too much on the torturing of people, whereas Saw blew my mind because of the suspense and the characters involved. Saw III tried to find a perfect balance, and it somewhat succeeded. In an attempt to create more suspense and "Ooohs!" and "Aaahs!" from the crowd they threw in some notso unexpected plot twists in at the end, and they actually put some time in deciding how and who were going to be tortured this time. I especially found the cold chick very disturbing. And drowing in grind down dead cows, that must reaaally suck.


Enfin, the movie was far from brilliant, but enjoyable nontheless. And, well, the very ending, let's just say I am looking forward to part four!

The third installment of the Saw movies is even gorier and bloodier than its predecessors, and once again it doesn't seem to carry the same amount of bite as the first thriller. To his credit, Jigsaw does seem to return to his original form with his intense game that pits a bitter man up against all those responsible for the death of his son. Meanwhile, his protege Amanda is striving to earn the mantle of Jigsaw, since the original puzzle-master is still hovering on death's door. Saw III also ties up a few loose ends from the previous two movies. In the end, there weren't really any stand-out performances (other than the magnificent Tobin Bell), and this just seemed like an attempt to out-bleed the former Saw movie. In spite of this new-found obsession with blood and guts, the story does tend to be fantastic, although the Saw series could benefit from some better casting.
