The video game rocked and the movie was pretty damn good. The girls were hot and the action was entertaining. Storyline was corny but isnt the game? movie did its purpose for the fact it only came out on dvd?

Ok Ok now you wonder why would any person go to see this movie??? Well look at the box and you can see why. Obviously the audience they are trying to capture is the young male one. They show hot girls fighting in scantly clad clothes. T and A is what it is called but being pg-13 you do not get much of that. So after the intial viewing of the women there has to be something to keep you watching. The story here is ridiculous. There is a tournament where all of the best fighters are put on a island to fight to see who is the best. Yes this movie is based on a video game and they try to put the game into the movie. Kinda like Doom and just as bad by the way. The acting in this movie is horrible and the action well... this is what is supposed to be the strong point. I cannot say that I am a big fan of wire work but when a movie uses it so much its hard to like that movie. The movie uses wire work in almost every scene. Every fight has it and after awhile it looks too fake. Once in awhile its ok but when almost every 5 mins there is wire work what the hell!!.. Not good at all. That being said this movie you can skip unless you are a 13 yr old boy who is looking for some cheap thrills. Very bad so save your time and rent something else.

i liked it and they did at least try. they did better than Mortal Combat. Hopefully if they try it again, maybe they will get the right help to make it really good

I'm not into DOA games, but I liked this movie... it's fun, and fast and that's what I like the most in movie. All of the five girls are h-o-t, and fighting scenes are fab.

Let me start by saying that the acting was just awful. I know this movie shouldn't be judged on the acting, because it's focused on hot women and just as spicy moves, but the several times it did attempt to be serious, it failed horribly.

But lets put ourselves past that. This was not a complete waste of time. Like I said, the fighting moves were nice, even though they tried to make it as unrealistic as possible, the action was still extremely enjoying. Then there's Devon Aoki's face. Honestly, if you're going to build your movie around hot chicks, don't cast Devon Aoki. I don't know what happened to her face but I felt nice.


Don't even get me started on the ending. My name is Weatherby! Weatherby!

This is like the worst movie from a game i saw. Tomb raider was beter!, and even tomb raider was bad.
There are nice cast in it, but the story line is just screwed,
At first it's moves really slow, and then everything goes way to fast

i hated it!!! it went for just over an hour and it sucked!!! previews might look good but the whole movie sucks. plus how can this movie just be comming out when it's out on dvd in sudtralia for months now

It is always surprising to me how anyone comes to the conclusion of transfering a game to a movie. There is the obvious choice Tomb Raider. And there are games like Soul Reaver, God of war, Neverwinter nights and Ultima. These are games with some depth and a decent storyline. Even Soul Calibur does at least have some line to tell. DOA doesn't have that at all (the game). The consequence is that this movie like Streetfighter is nothing more then a joke. The only reason to give it two stars is that the fight choreography is unreal. that one aspect of the movie is truly magnificent. But that alone cannot hold an audience. So from a bland game containing girls with sizeble breasts who beat each other up too this is a large step and not in a good direction.

  Sure, the dialogue is absolutely atrocious, the acting sucks, Eric Roberts is a co-star, the action is lame and the fighting is boring. But all of this makes for one hilarious viewing experience. DOA is the sort of film you'll want to watch with a drunken crowd of your friends.
