One of the worst video game based movies of all time. Sure the action sequence is pretty decent and the story is kinda ok but if you're a die hard fan of the DOA series, chances are you will be disappointed with this garbage. Firstly the casting is totally wrong, especially Kasumi. Don't get me wrong. Devon Aoki is a good actress but she did not fit a single bit to portray as the cute and boob bouncing Kasumi. Rather than having a baby doll, cleavage curving Kasumi as we all know and love from the popular video game franchise, we have a flat chested, angry looking shinobi. Just because she's japanese doesn't mean she suits to be Kasumi. Also, Ryu Hayabusa from the famed Ninja Gaiden series looks terrible. Looks nowhere as near as the Ryu Hayabusa that all the nerds grew up with. I can go on with the rest of the cast but it won't help one bit because they all suck.

The interaction between the characters are awful. It's a cross between Charlie Angels remake wix with cheesy dialogues and unnecessary sex themes. It's definitely not geared towards kids. The suggested sex themes are totally forced fed and over the top, making it more of a porno suggested movie rather than a successful video game-based movie.

Overall, DOA is a crappy movie which is only worth for rental. It may not suck as any Uwe Boll movies but dang, it's still suck!

The video game rocked and the movie was pretty damn good. The girls were hot and the action was entertaining. Storyline was corny but isnt the game? movie did its purpose for the fact it only came out on dvd?

Ok Ok now you wonder why would any person go to see this movie??? Well look at the box and you can see why. Obviously the audience they are trying to capture is the young male one. They show hot girls fighting in scantly clad clothes. T and A is what it is called but being pg-13 you do not get much of that. So after the intial viewing of the women there has to be something to keep you watching. The story here is ridiculous. There is a tournament where all of the best fighters are put on a island to fight to see who is the best. Yes this movie is based on a video game and they try to put the game into the movie. Kinda like Doom and just as bad by the way. The acting in this movie is horrible and the action well... this is what is supposed to be the strong point. I cannot say that I am a big fan of wire work but when a movie uses it so much its hard to like that movie. The movie uses wire work in almost every scene. Every fight has it and after awhile it looks too fake. Once in awhile its ok but when almost every 5 mins there is wire work what the hell!!.. Not good at all. That being said this movie you can skip unless you are a 13 yr old boy who is looking for some cheap thrills. Very bad so save your time and rent something else.

i liked it and they did at least try. they did better than Mortal Combat. Hopefully if they try it again, maybe they will get the right help to make it really good
