The first time I heard about this movie I was very excited. Once I (finally)watched it, I wasn't dissappointed. All the characters featured had a great impact on the story and having all of them together in the first animated movie was just impressive. I must admit, it was a little hard to adapt to their "new" background stories, as I was not familliar with the Ultimates comics at the time. But the movie did a splendid job at making (nost of) the characters likeable.

Ovearll a great movie, which I highly recommend.

The movie forfills it but it isnt quite as good as the comic. This IS fantastic until near the end of it with the hulk part, which i find rather bad, it didnt seem to forfill the rest of the movies suspense, also it was rushed, they shouldnt have broken it up into 2 parts, and the 2nd wasnt that good.

I'm a huge fan of both the Ultimates and the Avengers, so I was very excited when i heard about this movie... but to me, it seemed the animators never really read either title and just tried mixing up what they were told to... not to mention the way it seems they aren't sure what audience they are looking for...
During the first half of the movie, there's mild cussing and bad guys are actually killed... toward the back half of the movie, lame substitutions are used to replace cuss words less offensive then some words used earlier... and the bad-guys pull a Cobra from GI Joe, and parachute out of exploding ships, etc...
It was great to see my personal favorite Captain America on film... as well as Thor, Nick Fury, and Iron Man... I just wish they had stuck with one style and kept it instead of searching for an age-group to make it for.
