There's just something in this film that didn't make it that entertaining, I don't know what it is for sure, it's just....something. I thought it was good but not the greatest film. Even Steve Carrell in it didn't make it better for me. It's great...

Even Steve Carrell in it didn't make it better for me. It's great for little kids and I guess I didn't enjoy it that much because I'm not a little kid anymore. But it was okay for me. 3 stars: good.

With Jim Carry in the credits, I really thought that the movie was going to be a bit more funny than what it was. Although I must admit that the story was interesting and did keep my attention and there were a lot of surprizes along the way. Plus I really liked the "We're here!!" song thingy near the end. :)

It was okay, good for kiddies. :P

Horton Hears a Who is suprisingly good. I nearly didn't see this movie. I've been burned too many times (do not remind me about the cinematic abortion that is Cat in the Hat). Imagine my suprise when I actually saw this film and it was pretty good.

I'd just like to take a moment and give the animators who brought this Suess story to life much praise. The animation is amazingly rendered in this film. Maybe it's the distinctive look of Dr. Suess, but this film looks just like the book brought to life.

I'm not usually a fan of Jim Carrey, but he did a great job here. Any guy who does a Henry Kissinger impression in a kid's movie earns my praise.

The works of Dr Seuss still work better in smaller chunks since the stories are short. Stretching them out for movies is a difficult prospect. Grinch was ok, Cat in the Hat was horrid, but this beats out both by not keeping too tight to the story and taking the basic concept of the short story and do what works for the medium.

If you want an animated version of the book, see the classic toon, but this is quite fun on it's own.
