The movie consists of excellent choreography and visual effects, traditional music and ancient folklore. Very funny and easy to follow with a superb ending. Loved it!

You know, I had written what I thought was a very witty review of this movie, but, alas, it seems to have disappeared into the depths of the interwebs. Now, I still want to tell people how wonderful it is, but, I don't know if I can really recreate the pure genius of my previous review. Instead, I will say that this movie has absolutely EVERYTHING one could want from a martial arts movie. I really enjoy the various 'Asian Cinema' movies that cropped up before and around this movie, such as Crouching Tiger... and Hero, but this film has all of the same quality in terms of choreography and special effects, but it adds an extremely humorous storyline that's just a laugh from beginning to end. So, without going into a synopsis, I will simply say that this movie is everything it's cracked up to be and well worth watching a few times!

As a kid, I used to stay up late watching kung fu movies and watching Kung Fu Hustle really brought back memories of those old Once Upon A Time In China movies. Watch or die, mortal.

P/S: If you're a non-Chinese Malaysian, watch it with Malay subtitles. It's a lot funnier that way. E.g; "Kenapa ada ramai askar kat situ?"
"Tu bukan askar, tu pengakap!"
That line was my favorite in the whole movie.

This movie with it's bizarre and Matrix-esque fight scenes, and it's somewhat juvenile, but funny sense of humor, and a decent story makes this a very enjoyable movie. 8/10.

I see Kung Fu Hustle more as an Action/Adventure movie than as a comedy. The humor may be lowbrow but the nonstop orgy of martial arts mayhem is incredible. Kung Fu Hustle is all about the CGI, enaugh that it's practically a cartoon. Many of today's blockbusters use slick CGI to hide weak filmmaking, but Kung Fu Hustle breaks rank.
