Vampire hunter Captain Kronos (Horst Janson) and his Jewish aide (John Carson) come to a small European village to destroy the vampires who dominate it. These vampires prove immune to the stake or any other traditional means of destruction: only steel in the form of a cross can destroy them. In the final confrontation scene, the powerful female vampire renders serving girl Caroline Monroe and her own son anddaughter entranced and helpless with her mesmeric stare, but is captured by her own power by Captain Kronos, whenhe reflects it off the blade of his cross-hilted sword.Captain Kronos must then battle her mate, the master vampire,amidst the four entranced individuals, who are only released at his death, which also destroys the vampiress.
