Is The Harry/Ginny Relationship Going To Happen? | Jul 11, 2007 7:05 pm PTOK In the 5th movie Ginny was a kinda big part but not as much as she is in the book and Harry and her relationship as friends doesn't even grow at all so is it really going to happen or are they going to cut it out like they do to most of the fabulous parts in the books. I can see how they could cut it out but, I don't see why they would. Maybe they could if it isn't that big a part in the 7th book as most Harry/Ginny fans want it to be. I could just be paranoid about this but i need to know what is happening, so if someone anyone could do a small favor for me and just reassure me that it is going to happen please post!

i personally really don't care cause i would rather harry be with hermione, but I think this should be in the movie, it wasn't a very big part of the book and if they didn't make her his girlfriend then it wouldn't change anything but they probably will put this part in.

I personally loved the fact that Ginny and Harry got together, except that I would rather it be me if I were at Hogwarts! Anyways, back to reality. This is a major part of the book because it may determine the ending of the last book which I have not gotten because the postal service sucks. Well, let's just hope it's better than the fifth movie.

You cannot do this film without the Harry/Ginny relationship. It exists for much of the book. True they only get together near the end, but Harry is constantly thinking about it throughout the year, getting jealous when he sees her with Dean, worries what Ron would think, wants to use the Felix potion to woo her, etc. And their relationship is of extremely high importance in the final book - though she isn't in it much, she is often mentioned and Harry is consistently worrying about her.
The Harry/Ginny relationship will be there in the film - even for just the kiss. In the OotP movie, Cho was only really there for the kiss, not time was devoted to their relationship, or the date they went on on Valentine's Day. Ginny will be of much greater importance in the HBP movie than Cho has ever been in the films.

If you pay attention to the subtle expressions on Ginny's face in OotP when Harry and Cho are together, you can tell she doesn't like it. I don't think it will be a major part of the movie though, especially since there are more important things to focus on.

Besides in the order of the phoenix you should see the expressions on Ginny's face when harry is with Cho. They've already started the Harry-Ginny thing. I ampersonallymore worried that the memories will not be done well because I am almost positive thatthe Harry/Ginny relationship is going to be done at least as well as the Harry/Cho relationship was.

dont worry folks! here is a quote from the Bonnie Wrightherself that proves that the relationship is gunna be in the movie:
Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley): [Talking about her and Daniel Radcliffe's kiss in their upcoming film: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince] It'll be funny to do [the make-out scenes], but it's just a film! Hopefully people will just enjoy it and not get too jealous.
Also Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) has talked about it as well as the producers so it will definately be a big part of the film!

I really hope they have put it in the film because I love the idea of Harry and Ginny. And then Ron and Hermione.
Personally, I prefer Ron and Hermione than Harry and Hermione.
But I see why some people don't.

And while some things have been cut out to our dismay, this is one aspect even Steven Kloves knows has to stay in. So look forward to it in July of 2009.

Well, it happens in the book, so I'd like to think that it'll happen in the movie as well.
Personally though, I'm a Harry/Luna shipper, so if they decided to hold off on the Harry/Ginny thing until the 7th/8th movie, I wouldn't be all too disappointed.
