I will admit that I am not a guy ritchie fan. I do not think he is a very good director and most of his movies are horrible. This one fits the bill to a tee. Statham plays a man released from jail who liotta has a problem with. Somewhere along the way statham gets involved with benjamin and pastore. They tell him he is dying and they help him get his revenge on liotta. You throw in a figure called mr. gold and you add a bunch of twists and turns and you have a formula for a bad movie. The acting is well uhm.. bad. The action sequences are ok but with all the confusion going around they get lost in it. Sometimes a movie is too smart for its own good. This is one of those movies. All these stars and its still a bad movie. Of course all the jump cuts and going 20 mins ahead of time then 1 day behind does not help the movie at all. I think that style can work if it is done right and in this case it is not. Skip this movie at all costs.

Somewhere deep under layers of incomprehensible twists and turns lies a somewhat intelligent story. It has some very entertaining moments (the hitman scenes alone make this worthy of a rental at least) but most of this movie is a convulated mess....

Even after 2-3 times watching this movie, some things will remain unclear or contradict the ending.

For the love of god do not see this movie. it is the BIGGEST waste of time ever created. i can hardly begin to explain how poorly this interesting story is told. the worst thing of all is the ending... because there isn't one. imagine watching...

Very confusing. So why is it rated high? The message the film portrays is very cool-that inside your head, lives a guy who tells you to do stuff. Whenever you do something just because you wanted to, or do something that endangers yourself, chances are he told you to do it. The only way to liberate yourself from him is to do things you don't want to do. He's a conman, this man in your head, and he's the smartest opponent you can ever face. He'll keep you guessing whether what you did was because of him or because you wanted to do it yourself. As the film repeatedly says, "You can only get smarter by playing a smarter opponent," thus disposing of him is truly a liberating experience.

The greatest trick this conman ever pulled was making you believe he is you.

A movie full of messages and hidden meanings and symbolicism, Revolver makes for a great mind-munching watch, though its artsy stuff may put off those who just want to hear gunshots and fists on faces and lines like "Do ya like dags?" Get some depth and have fun watching this.
