i didnt like it. the plot was stupid and lame. everything was like huh? Horrible ending. the only thing i like about this movie was the moral. other than that, everything was terrible. not including the visual effects of course

"Remy" (voiced by Patton Oswalt) is not your typical rat living in France. He literally has the nose of a great chef. He is able to determine what is in a dish, and is able to tell that a dish needs something to improve it just by the scent. His family doesn't understand because, let's face it, they're rats. He gets inspiration from a popular human chef (voiced by Brad Garrett) who believes that anybody can cook. and looks for a way to show off his talent. He finds a garbage boy (voiced by Lou Romano), and uses his hands (by literally controlling the human's arms by pulling his hair as if they were connected) to create his creations that brings "Gusteau", the restaurant named after and once owned by the late master chef the rat idolizes, back to the popularity it once had. Now, the two have to keep their work together a secret and join forces when the master chef that took over the restaurant when "Gusteau" died wants to use "Gusteau's" name for financial gain with inferior frozen food products leaning to international dishes. Well, Pixar has done it again. They have produced a visually amazing world right down to the littlest detail. They nailed it when they animated the rats' movements right down to the movement of the hair over the muscles. The humans however lean toward a more cartoonish look, and look like they're made out of plastic and much of their movement is more cartoonish than realistic looking. There are strong performances from the actors in this film. However, there was a problem with the French accents. The characters who were suppose to be French had obviously fake accents to no accent at all. Another problem with this movie was that there was very little laughs in this movie. Of the laughs that are in the movie, it comes from physical comedy more than anything else. I also didn't like the storyline surrounding "Skinner", the master chef of the restaurant who wants to turn the name "Gusteau" into an inferior product, after "Remy" helps the now-former garbage boy, "Alfredo Linguini" become the head chef of the restaurant, thus kicking "Skinner" to the curb. I thought "Skinner" trying to prove "Linguini" to be a fraud was just done poorly. Another poorly done subplot was the love story between two characters. I personally can't stand when one-hald of the love story doesn't realize they are attracted to the other side of the plotline until something happens that makes them realize they are in love. The soundtrack was pretty forgettable in this movie. None of the music was memorable like in what is possibly the most popular movie in Pixar and Disney's history, "Toy Story". I really can't recommend this one for adults. However, it's a good time-waster for the kids.

I love Iron giant and the incredibles but....I just like this movie. Like other people said it was extermely over rated. The humor's just good, there's some okay cartoon action. The best thing is probably the amazing animation in this film.

I love animated moives and this is no doubt the best of'em. This movie can really suck you in. And, I like the kiss in this movie, this is the first time I see a kiss in an animated movie ^______^.

A rat is supposed to be filthy, dirty & disease ridden. But Pixar has done the impossible. They went and made that rat cute. Ratatouille is Pixar's latest and it delivers big time. I had heard glowing reviews and had my hopes up, but I was still wary as to how they could turn something as disgusting as a rat handling and cooking food into something watchable and more importantly, loveable. Ratatouille is about a rat named Remy who longs to experience finer dining, something his friends and family can't grasp because well, they're rats and they eat garbage. One fateful night, he gets separated from his family and ends up at a world-renowned French restaurant where he sees the new garbage boy screw up a soup. Remy decides to fix the problem, the new soup is heralded a triumph, and garbage boy Linguini is credited with the success even though he can't cook worth a lick. So Linguini and Remy offer to help each other out. To fix Linguini's sub par cooking skills, Remy hides under his hat and controls his cooking maneuvers like a marionette.

The film really shines in terms of characterization. All the likeable characters are indeed likeable, and the villains are deliciously evil. There's tons of good humor, plenty of good drama, and the animation as always is superb. What Pixar always manages to do is imbue their CGI characters with a soul, with heart- that's something a lot of other CGI films fail to do well- I'm talking to you Polar Express. So once I got past the fact that this rat was cooking food, I did indeed begin to see him as a "little chef." Definitely one of the best films of 2007.

Ratatouille has got to be one of the most charming animated feature films ever made. Ratatouille tells the heartwarming story of about how anyone can have ambitions and anyone can achieve them, you just have to have the passion and determination to do so, and it's all about expressing your dreams with confidence.

What makes the film so intriguing is the film's lead character: Remy the Rat. Remy has the ultimate impossible dream: becoming a great cook in a French cuisine, but, Remy still does not ignore about how the world treats different things and other people. Remy knows that resturants heavily dislike rats, and he knows the world is ailen to new talent, but he still fights for his dream, despite he knows the world is harsh, and the facts he fights, and still expresses in the dark times is truly something special- and it's in a Disney toon! Goodness me!

Remy fights for giving his talent to others- and that is what makes Ratatouille so irresistably heartwarming.

Overall, Ratatouille ranks up with Finding Nemo, Toy Story films, Monsters. Inc, A Bug's Life, The Incredibles, and Luxo Jr. as one of Pixar's finest films ever, and possibly, one of the best films ever made too.
