A movie about an old blues man and a young aspiring guitarist who is following (or trying to) in the footsteps of the late great Robert Johnson. This movie has its moments, but is not for all. If you like blues or the guitar in general then this is well worth a watch. Ralph Macchio and Joe Seneca are perfect actors for this movie and I can't say that there is any serious over-acting or flaws in their roles. You might find it slightly slow paced though and the plot doesnt really unfold until the last half hour when the pair find the place they are looking for and the action really gets "hot". The guitar playing is awesome through-out the film though if your into the old muddy waters type blues. Macchio's guitar miming is good enough to the naked eye to be passable. Again, the ending is what really makes this movie for me. Steve Vai makes an appearance as well which is another treat for guitar fans.
