I agree wholeheartedly.  I'm almost ashamed to say it, but one of the main reasons I was interested in seeing this film was to see if Timberlake had any acting chops.  Luckily, one of my friends rented the movie so I had a legitimate excuse to watch it.  The movie turned out to be much better than I had expected, and Justin Timberlake's performance was a big reason for that.  He really impressed me with his emotional range, especially the climax scene.  It was so difficult to watch, and I usually don't say that about any movies or scenes.  Bravo Timberlake.
