When Dave leaves on a business trip to Europe and leaving Alvin, Simon, and Theodore at home with Miss Miller, Alvin starts competeing with Brittany on the video arcade game, "Around the World in 30 Days". This grabs the attention of two diamond swindlers (Susan Tyrell and Anthony DeLongis), who trick them into going on a balloon race all around the world to trade dolls filled with diamonds for dolls filled with cash.
